Las Vegas, Part 5 = Las Vegas 51s

After going to the Mob Museum with my colleague and her friend, I went solo to the Las Vegas 51s minor league baseball game at Cashman Stadium.  The temperature had dropped significantly, which is important in Las Vegas in the summer.

First impressions.

AAA affiliate of the New York Mets (no, no one I saw would be in the 2015 World Series, although several key players started the season with the 51s).

Not a bad field - the timing of the game as well as the angle of the stadium's construction seemed to thwart the sun's rays.

Go 51s!

The opponent - the Salt Lake Bees, the Angels affiliate.

Runs... the game would have many.

Here's one of them.

Dilson Herrera, seen here on second, played 31 games for the New York Mets in 2015.

Rainy Lara pitches for the 51s.

Yikes...

Double yikes.

More runs...

And more runs!

And more runs!

And photographic proof of an out.

Got him.  Las Vegas won 10 to 5.

Coming up next = Fremont Street Experience, to end the night.
