The Road to Bonnaroo, Day 3, Part 2 = Yellowstone National Park, WY/MT

After seeing Old Faithful, we continued through Yellowstone National Park to the Grand Prismatic Spring, before exiting the park via the Lamar Valley.

Entering the Midway Geyser Basin, home of the Grand Prismatic Spring.

More bison...

Lots of snow, foreshadowing our drive later in the day through the Beartooth Highway.

This is one way to explore Yellowstone's Lamar Valley.

This ended up being a bust for us, but these folks spotted a grizzly bear hiding out on a hillside.

We joined the throngs.

The bushes at center were where the bear was hiding.

Approaching the Montana state line

We finally exited Yellowstone National Park at the Northeast Entrance, in Montana.  From there we started the Beartooth Highway, called by some the greatest drive in America.

Coming up = we soldier along the Beartooth Highway to Red Lodge, MT.
