Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, Cartagena (Day 3, Part 1)

To start my final day in Cartagena, I went to see Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, just outside the main part of the city.  The fortress is the largest and best preserved of all Spanish colonial forts.  I happened to arrive at the same time numerous cruise ship tours did, hence the crowds.  Definitely worth seeing if you're in Cartagena and have the time (i.e. not on a cruise ship stop - focus on El Centro instead).

After visiting the Castillo, it was time for lunch.  I went to a place in Getsemani called Socorro.  This is their very spicy cerveza michelada.

Sea bass, buried in their house sauce and shrimp.  One of the greatest seafood dishes I've ever had.  I'd be tempted to go back to Cartagena just to have this again.

The interior of the restaurant.

Final Cartagena photos, followed by Bogota photos, coming soon.
