The short of it - no one claimed Kyle McLaren off of waivers. Thus, the Sharks have sent him to Worcester, MA, to play in their AHL affiliate. K-Mac's $2.5 million salary will not count against the salary cap while he plays there.
Shame, really - even though I would hate for our guys to play against Kyle, he deserves better than this, though this is far from a death knell. At least we could call him up if the time / money presents itself.
