It's the end of the San Jose Giants' season...

...because the Stockton Ports beat the Giants tonight in a decisive Game 5, by the ghastly score of 9-4. Four runs were given up in the first frame by #14 Jesse English (see photo), who proceeded to give up 3 runs in the 2nd inning... he didn't make it to see the 3rd inning, but the damage was insurmountable. The score was 7-3 going into the 4th inning, if that means anything. The worst part of it all (other than not going to the Championship Series) was that the BEER BATTER was not struck out at all (he singled at least once). No half price beer?!?... I was shutout on the good times in more than one way tonight.

Well, the Championship Series begins tomorrow between Stockton and the Lancaster JetHawks, who beat the Lake Elsinore Storm tonight, 10-8 (wow).

I would normally root for Lancaster, except that they're a farm team for the Boston Red Sox. Accordingly, I'm just boycotting the series altogether.
